BIO
Leah Anna or Leah (le-yah) is a Filipino-American line art and abstract artist based in Oregon, United States. She draws inspiration from diverse sources, including other artists, cultural trends, historical events, personal experiences, and nature. She creates intricate pieces that come to life on the stark contrast of black paper or canvas. Some of her works have been a part of virtual and in-person group exhibitions.
Artist Statement

My current art practice revolves around the medium of white marker on black paper. Through this unconventional pairing, I aim to explore the interplay of light and darkness, utilizing the stark contrast to evoke a sense of depth, mystery, and visual intrigue

Artistic Process

My artistic process begins with the conceptualization phase. I'm inspired and challenged by the idea of reducing the visual elements to their base essence. I seek to create a visual experience that revolves around the purity and simplicity of a single shade, white, set against the blackness of the paper.
